Prior to joining Arcataur Capital, Nancy Smetek was Senior Vice President and Director of the Credit Risk Assessment Division at U.S. Bancorp. In this capacity, she managed 62 employees responsible for independently evaluating the asset quality and credit process of the Bank's $158 Billion commercial and retail loan portfolio. This encompassed the identification and analysis of present and future portfolio risks, analyzing industry trends, validating loan loss reserve adequacy through the continuous assessment of the accuracy and timeliness of risk ratings, reviewing policy compliance, and providing guidance to management on a variety of credit-related topics, including identifying and promoting best practices. In 2007, Nancy was a member of U.S. Bancorp's Top Women in Banking Team, as named by U.S. Banker magazine. Before joining U.S. Bancorp, Nancy was a Bank Examiner with the State of Wisconsin.
