Ignatius L. Smetek is primarily responsible
for the management of the Arcataur Large Capitalization Portfolio,
the overall Arcataur Managed Balance Portfolios and the equity
portion of the Arcataur Managed Balance Portfolios. From 1986
to 2002, Mr. Smetek was with the institutional investment
management arm of The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company.
He was a Portfolio Manager from 1993 to 2002, focusing on
large capitalization, blue chip stocks utilizing a growth
at a reasonable price style. Mr. Smetek also had overall asset
allocation responsibilities for a $1.8 billion pension fund
portfolio, a $120 million charitable foundation portfolio
and a $120 million mutual fund/variable annuity fund. Barron's
newspaper rated Mr. Smetek the top multi-asset manager in
July 2001 and July 2002 for the three years ended June 30,
2001 and June 30, 2002, when compared to over 150 mutual funds
with similar asset allocation styles. According to Lipper,
the five year performance return for comparable funds ranked
Mr. Smetek's fund in the top 10% of all funds as of June 30,
2002. Mr. Smetek received a BBA-Accounting from the University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1983 and a MSBA-Investments from
the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986. He is a Certified
Public Accountant and is a Chartered Financial Analyst and
a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Milwaukee.
