William Weber's responsibilities include active management of the firm's equity, fixed income and asset allocation process. Bill's primary focus will be on the factors influencing the equity and fixed income selection process within the firm. These factors include the macroeconomic outlook and its effect on the overall financial markets and specific industries, the impact of these factors on interest rates and asset allocation decisions, and finally, a focus on individual company fundamentals.
Prior to joining Arcataur Capital, Bill managed a variety of private accounts for 5 years. From 1983-2003 he was a Vice President - Institutional Sales at J. P. Morgan and Salomon Brothers. In this capacity Bill provided research sales coverage to a number of large mutual funds, insurance companies, bank trust funds, and hedge funds throughout the Midwest. This job demanded knowledge of all aspects of a Wall Street firm's research product, including the output of 60-70 analysts, the firm's economic outlook, and a variety of ancillary products such as quantitative strategies and IPOs as well as an ability to impart this information to a large number of clients in a timely and informed fashion. Prior to receiving his MBA from the University of Chicago, Bill served over 6 years on active duty in the U.S. Army, spending most of that time at Ft. Knox, KY and with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment in Ft. Bliss, TX. |
